Compensation procedure

The amount of compensation is determined by the insurance value and the recipient country specified in the shipment data and form/label.

For the loss or complete damage of an uninsured domestic shipment with signs of damage, Post pays a compensation in the amount of twice the collected tariff to the Customer who has not concluded a cooperation agreement with Eksprespasts. Post pays compensation to the Client who has concluded a cooperation agreement with Eksprespasts as following: up to EUR 520.00 for shipments intended for delivery by courier or to the post office and up to EUR 270.00 for shipments intended for delivery to parcel locker.

For the loss or complete damage of an insured domestic shipment with signs of damage,Post pays the Customer compensation in the amount of the full insurance amount of the shipment, based on the Customer’s application addressed to Eksprespasts with an attached copy of the shipment document and a document certifying its value.

For the loss of a cross-border shipment or its complete damage with signs of damage to the package of the shipment, Post shall pay compensation to the Customer no more than EUR 34.15 (for document shipment) and no more than EUR 147.98 (for other shipments).
Refunds are made by reducing the amount of the next service bill.

In case of compensation for a damaged shipment, Post has the right to keep the damaged shipment in its possession.
